Two of my favorite classroom helpers:
Stackable baskets on wheels
This is the place for papers:
- Finished Work
- Not Finished Work
- Homework
- Lost & Found subdivided with For Ms. L
The first three baskets serve a dual purpose: to keep lots of paper piles off my desk AND to give students independence during the day.
The last basket has helped so much with those little things that just start to pile up on my desk but that I don't want to throw out; puzzle pieces, hairbands, etc. The "For Ms. L" side is for ALL the pictures they've created for me.

My "Do Not Disturb Hat"
This is a great visual reminder that I'm working with another student(s) and cannot be disturbed. It always takes me a minute to realize why my principal is smiling at me for so long when he walks in the door; so easy to forget that I'm wearing it!
