Party Props

There's something about teacher mommies where we get all sorts of excited about party planning for kids. While I can't speak for everyone, many of my TM friends and myself, fall into this category. Wanted to share some of my past party doings!

My son was in childcare during the early years.
What favors can you give to toddlers for Valentine's Day
Heart shaped crayons of course!  Easily done by melting crayons in a heart shaped silicone baking mold.  (Leave a comment if you'd like me to post directions.)  There HAS to be a tag though that says
"Happy Valentine's Day for CRAYON out loud!"   :)

Another Tag

The next year were small packages of Teddy Grahams with the message "Bear Hugs for ____  "

BIRTHDAYS

Summer birthday celebration in school:

Here's a beach themed cupcake; suitable for any age!

White icing, blue gel for the ocean, crumbled graham crackers for the sand, vanilla wafer made to look like a beach ball with white cookie icing and cookie markers for writing and of course, a goldfish cracker!

TODDLER FAVORS

Watering cans with sidewalk chalk, bubbles and a note that read
"Thank you for celebrating my 2nd birthday with me" on a beach themed piece of scrapbooking paper

St. Patrick's Day

Bags of gold coins inside little pots; the rainbows were part of a confetti assortment.  Everything was purchased from Party City.

These are leprechaun footprints made by painting the underside of your fist and adding toes!  (We used to do this as kids on car windows!)  I usually use green or gold glitter but went with an assortment of St. Patrick's Day confetti this year.
